NEW FALL OPTIONS
Autumn is Prime Time in the Rocky Mountains
Autumn comes early to the Rockies, and it’s a time of unrivalled beauty. The aspens begin quaking, their unique leaves changing to brilliant golden-yellows, shimmering with the wind. Vivid orange leaves rise up against white bark. From a distance, an alpine forest looks ablaze. Elk, and other animals, migrate from high country in search of a mate. Have your camera ready—autumn here is prime time.
There are dozens of natural hot springs in the Rocky Mountains, and one of them is the world’s largest. After trekking with a naturalist and a day filled with fine air, slip into the healing waters and soak. Next day, go backcountry with a guide and be astonished by hidden creeks, powerful waterfalls, and wildlife. (Keep an eye open for ancient fossils.) In the evening, cozy up and watch the sun paint the sky at dusk.
There are ghost towns, old mines, small railroads, and historic towns to discover, all near your lodgings. You might decide to stay in a remote cowboy ranch with 360° views, or you might prefer a luxurious resort with exceptional cuisine. The choices are all yours when autumn comes to the Rockies, bringing vibrant colors and nature at its showiest.

NEW WINTER OPTIONS
The Rockies, a True Winter Paradise
What to do when the days grow short and winter begins in earnest? Consider sleigh rides, skiing, snowmobiling, snowboarding, snowshoeing, cross-country skiing, dog sledding, ice fishing, ice skating, ice climbing, and head straight to the Rocky Mountains. The scenery is epic. The reward is a feeling of dazzling good health.
Rocky Mountain snow country is legendary, and the people who came before us in that place were extraordinary people. (Maybe it was the altitude.) Discover their stories in historic villages and ghost towns. Go shopping and peruse galleries—Western sculpture and Native American crafts sit comfortably beside designer clothing and fine art.
Spend time at a traditional ranch with modern values, and then glide over the snow in a sleigh, complete with red bells. Go backcountry into a National Park with a local guide. Your lodgings are just as unique as the country, and the choices are all yours. Rough-hewn or contemporary, all have stunning views and fine amenities. This winter, ease into the adventure and wonder of the Rocky Mountains.
Inspired Winter Resorts:
