You will connect, authentically, with the natural world when you experience the majesty of Jackson Hole, the Grand Tetons, and Yellowstone. Jackson is both cowboy and cosmopolitan—fancy buildings stand next to 19th-century log cabins. There are culinary adventures and mountain men. The scenic backdrop is beyond words. Did we say that The National Museum here has works by Andy Warhol and Georgia O’Keefe?
As for Yellowstone? Oh my. Standing at a geyser that looks as if it erupted from the center of time is a pure mystery. Rafting a raw river, and the power you feel in active travel is beyond understanding. Bison and elk are more common than tourists. Explore the meadows and glacial lakes. This is the American West at its finest. Get inside it and live.
