Arrival Seattle - Historic Pike Place Market - Great Wheel
Arrive at Seattle-Tacoma Airport and collect your rental car upon arrival. Spend your first night in a boutique hotel with views out to Elliott Bay and the Olympic Mountains from a rooftop deck. Concierge parking is included and you’ll be within walking distance of award-winning restaurants, and a light rail station to use to explore the city.

Today you will enjoy further highlights of Seattle beginning with an underground tour to explore the unique subterranean side of the city. Don't miss other iconic sights like the Seattle Space Needle. Ride an elevator up 500 feet to the glass-bottomed observation deck of the Space Needle, built in the Seattle Center for the 1962 World's Fair. Then venture next door to Chihuly Garden and Glass and explore this incredible creation by artist Dale Chihuly. The Exhibition includes eight Galleries, the centerpiece Glasshouse, and a lush Garden. Other sights of interest: National Nordic Museum, Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation Discovery Center, Living Computers: Museum + Labs, and the Seattle Art Museum.

Seattle Underground Tour

Stroll through intriguing subterranean storefronts and sidewalks entombed when the city rebuilt on top of itself after the Great Fire of 1889. Your tour begins beneath Doc Maynard’s Public House, then spills into historic Pioneer Square, Seattle’s birthplace, before plunging underground for an exclusive, time-capsule view of the buried city. The tour ends in Rogues Gallery and the Underground Gift Shop, where you’ll find displays depicting the past and Northwest memorabilia. Drive and Ferry to Orcas Island
Today you will drive 80 miles to the Anacortes Ferry Terminal. After arriving on Orcas Island check in to your Historic Resort nestled in the trees along the waterfront of Cascade Bay. Stay in a Bay View room and enjoy unique amenities including on-site fine dining, a full-service luxury spa, and a historical museum.

Day on Orcas Island - Whale & Wildlife Boat Tour
Before embarking on your whale watching tour, start your day with a visit to a local favorite - Brown Bear Baking. Be sure to arrive early for your best chance at the bestselling "epic" cinnamon roll. After your whale watching tour, the rest of the day is yours to explore or relax on the Island. Visit Orcas Island Pottery where pieces are displayed throughout enchanting gardens and fountains or Orcas Island Artworks, a co-op housed in a historic 1936 strawberry packing plant. For dinner, the New Leaf Cafe offers unpretentious French-inspired cuisine with a Pacific Northwest flare that will satisfy the most discerning gourmand. Duck Mac n' Cheese, Sake Fried Chicken, and Shoestring Truffle Fries are small plate favorites.

Orcas Island Whale Watching Tour

Travel by Ferry to San Juan Island - Flightseeing
This morning take the ferry from Orcas Island to San Juan Island. Check in to your Friday Harbor Hotel with views of the water and nearby marina. Enjoy the unique thrill of a seaplane excursion over the San Juan Islands. Spend the rest of day visiting the gorgeous purple fields of the Pelindaba Lavender Farm or the San Juan Vineyards. Their historic tasting room is open 7 days a week and the property features a charmingly renovated 19th century schoolhouse. End the day dining at the elegant Duck Soup, nestled in the woods with spectacular lake views and a stone firepit lounge on the deck. The fresh, sophisticated Northwest cuisine, locally sourced seafood, and artisanal craft cocktails consistently receive glowing reviews.

Set off on a self-guided electric bike exploration of San Juan Island. You’ll be given a map pointing out scenic sites of interest for you to explore. There is much to see including beaches, lighthouses, state parks, the Roche Harbor Sculpture Park, and an Alpaca Farm! End the day with a sunset farewell sail and picnic.

Relax on a breathtaking 2 hour sunset sail on the deck of a classic wooden sailing schooner. Head up the San Juan Channel and be enchanted by colorful wild flowers on Yellow Island and Jones Island, both only accessible by boat. Included with your tour is a light picnic.
