Oslo City Tour & Fjord Dinner Cruise

Following breakfast, your guide will take you on a 5-hour guided tour of Oslo. You'll visit attractions such as Frogner Park, known as Vigeland Park and named for its founder and sculptor Gustav Vigeland, the Norwegian Folk Museum, and the Fram Museum. In the evening, enjoy a Fjord Cruise with dinner buffet. Spend a relaxing evening on board and enjoy the beautiful scenes of nearby islands, while savoring the fresh flavor of local shrimp.

Captivating landmarks like the Opera House, the Astrup Fearnley Museum and Barcode are changing the face of the city. Although an ever-changing city, Oslo continues to maintain its refreshing closeness to nature, something that very few capitals can do. The city was even named European Green Capital 2019 for its dedication to conserving natural areas and reducing pollution. The restaurant scene is diverse, and many of the new, innovative kitchens offer a fresh approach to Norway’s traditional dishes. With an efficient public transport system, compact city center, and safe environment, Oslo is easy to navigate without a car. Take off on foot or by bike to explore this magnificent Norwegian city.

Oslo - Myrdal - Flam Train Ride

Following breakfast, you’ll check out of your hotel and head to the nearby train station, easily accessible on foot. From there, you board a train that takes you on an unforgettable Oslo - Myrdal - Flam rail ride. This trip is ideal for falling under the spell of mind-boggling nature and Norway’s picture-perfect scenery. (The duration of your trip is about 6 hours.) Upon arrival, you’ll rest and relax at your hotel. In the evening we invite you to visit the local Ægir BrewPub in Flam to enjoy a traditional Ægir Viking Plank. This is a special 5-course food tasting dinner served with five different Ægir beers. You’ll have the chance to savor the Norwegian delicacies paired with Ægir beers.

Laerdalsoyri, Western Norway

On the map: Lærdalsøyri is the administrative centre of the municipality of Lærdal in Sogn og Fjordane county, Norway. The village is located along the Lærdalselvi river where it empties into the Lærdalsfjorden, a branch off of the main Sognefjorden. The Sognefjord is Norway’s longest and deepest fjord, and it’s famous arm the Nærøyfjord has World Heritage status. The surrounding mountain areas are amongst Norway’s most popular hiking areas.

The most popular attraction in the area is the Borgund stave church - the best preserved stave church in Norway, dating back to 1180. The church is built of 2,000 pieces of logs and planks, and although it is no longer used regularly for church functions, it is open to the public as a museum and well worth a visit. The old city centre is also a popular spot to visit, with more than 150 well-preserved wooden houses that date back to the 16th and 17th century.

Ferry to Balestrand & Viking Tour

Today is a fabulous Viking Valley Gudvangen Tour. You'll be whisked back in time, over one thousand years, to an authentic Viking village. In the afternoon, walk to the pier with your guide for an express ferry to the charming town of Balestrand. It is blissfully set in a magical location nearby Norway's largest fjord, Sognefjord. Upon arrival, spend the rest of the day at leisure exploring the village. Dinner is included at your hotel.

You’ll stop by the Briksdal Glacier to take memorable photographs and enjoy those magnificent views. During the trip, delight in a buffet lunch at a local mountain lodge along with a few more photo stops. Relax and breathe in the wonder of this exceptional place. After the tour, we’ll go to gorgeous Geiranger village, located near the UNESCO-listed Geirangerfjord. Upon arrival, you check into your remarkable hotel, providing magnificent fjord views. Geirangerfjord, Western Norway

On the map: In southwest Norway, and northeast of Bergen, are two extraordinary fjords: Geirangerfjord and Nærøyfjord. They are just 80 miles apart, and they are among the world’s longest and deepest—the cobalt blue water is almost surreal. Narrow and steep, dramatic rocks walls rise 4,600 feet above the Norwegian Sea and reach 1,700 feet below sea level.

Waterfalls and wild rivers course down the sheer walls through forests, glacial lakes, glaciers, and breathtaking mountains. Plants, plus land and sea animals, are abundant here. This area is ideal for hikers and for those who simply want to take in the awesome wonder of Norway.

On The Map: Geiranger is a village in western Norway, at the head of the famous Geirangerfjord, included on the prestigious UNESCO’s list of World Heritage Sites.

The whole area surrounding this tiny village is spectacular, and visiting Geiranger you can expect dramatic fjord landscape, beautiful nature, and cultural experiences. Part of the steep Trollstigen mountain road weaves through the village, connecting to Flydalsjuvet lookout, which has views over the fjord. The fjord’s waterfalls, including the Seven Sisters, the Suitor and the Bridal Veil, are visible by boat. Here you can go sightseeing on the fjord and see the mighty waterfalls, abandoned farms high up in the mountains, and find spectacular panoramic views from several vantage points. You can do sports all year, go fishing, kayaking, hiking, and skiing. After your fjord adventure, you can stay in one of the historic buildings and farms that in modern times are now popular accommodations.

Geirangerfjord Cruise & XL Diner

Spend the morning leisurely exploring the charming village of Geiranger on your own. Near your hotel you can explore the Fossevandring cascading waterfall. Either go from the top of the falls or take the stairs down to the pier. From that vantage point, you’ll experience the true power of these falls. Awe-inspiring! You may also choose to visit the Norwegian Fjord Center. That afternoon, you depart from your hotel with your guide and go to the port. You’ll board a comfortable Hurtigruten ship and enjoy a fantastic Geirangerfjord cruise to Alesund. This cruise is tops for giving you a unique perspective and opportunity to fall under the spell of spectacular Norwegian scenery and fjords. This cruise takes about three hours. When you arrive in Alesund, you’ll go to your beautiful hotel. That evening, delight in dinner at the XL diner, known as Europe's largest bacalao restaurant. Their expertise is clipfish perfection.

In the morning, you'll meet your private guide for a 2-hour walking tour of Alesund. Alesund is an extraordinary example of Art Nouveau architecture. Flight to Bergen & Walking Tour

Today you'll take a quick 1-hour flight from Alesund to Bergen, the second largest city in Norway. Upon arrival, your guide will take you to your centrally located hotel and drop off your luggage. Then you’ll embark upon a 2-hour guided walking tour of Bergen’s most fascinating sights. On Norway’s southwestern coast, the city is surrounded by mountains and fjords, including Sognefjord, the country’s longest, deepest fjord. Its blue waters are out of this world. Bergen has colorful wooden houses on the old wharf, once a center for the Hanseatic League’s trading empire. You'll also enjoy a fantastic Floibanen Funicular ride, one of Norway's best-loved attractions. Dinner included.

After breakfast, check out from your hotel and enjoy a stress-free private transfer to Bergen Airport for your flight home.

Bryggen, Bergen, Western Norway

On the map: Bryggen is Bergen's Olf Hanseatic Warf, a UNESCO World Heritage site, dating back to the days when Bryggen was a major Hanseatic trading centre.

Explore Bergen’s medieval wharf, Bryggen, and you’ll fall back in time. This World Heritage Site was part of the Hanseatic League’s trading empire. The area is dear to Norwegians, and when fires ran rampant, the buildings were rebuilt according to the original plans. Its heart is well-preserved and is emblematic of urban buildings once common in Scandinavia; 62 sites remain. One of Northern Europe’s oldest harbor cities, colorful Bryggen is a joyous spot filled with museums, galleries, craft shops, boutiques, restaurants, and fabulous sailmakers.
