Moira and Tony Stewart warmly welcome you to West Plean, a country guest house of remarkable character, dating from 1803. It is situated on a mixed arable and livestock farm, about 3 miles from the historic city of Stirling. The house, set slightly apart from the farm steading, is surrounded by extensive lawns with mature trees. Guests are encouraged to stroll into the Walled Garden and also to take a walk through the newly developed Azalea and Rhododendron plantings. From there, follow the paths into the woodlands, where have a superb display of daffodils in Spring. Other highlights include collecting eggs from the free range hens, which children love,, You can also take a short walk within the farm to the site of an Iron Age Homestead with panoramic views of Stirling Castle, the Wallace Monument, and west to the scenic mountains and hills of Loch Lomond & Trossachs National Park. When you visit you are welcomed into a farming family home of spacious character and comfort!

West Plean House offers every comfort and is family run with a great deal of care and dedication, ensuring the warmth and restful atmosphere you would expect of a special Country house. Guests have use of their own TV sitting room with family games, books and WiFi available or may also seek the tranquillity of the Drawing room. The Summer House can be used to read and enjoy the gardens, which open under the Scotland’s Gardens Scheme for snowdrops in early Spring and then for daffodils. Children love playing hide and seek on the extensive lawns with their mature trees, or taking the marked trails through the woods.
