Dining
Food plays an important role at The Spoons with the emphasis on fresh, local, seasonal, and wherever possible, organic produce. The island has a wealth of dedicated producers growing the very best ingredients and your hosts take great pride in using these to make your breakfast a memorable experience. Breakfast: Breakfast will set you up for the day and is served at individual tables in the Dining Room, overlooking Loch Snizort, between 8.30am and 10.00am (earlier breakfast by arrangement). Begin by choosing from freshly squeezed orange juice, homemade bread, preserves, pancakes, homemade granola, porridge, yoghurt and fruit. Followed by variations on a cooked breakfast, including dry cured bacon, Stornoway black pudding, delicious sausages, locally smoked fish and freshly laid eggs from The Spoons' own hens and of course freshly brewed coffee and tea. Dinner: Your hosts are very happy to help you with dinner arrangements, including advice and making reservations. There are many restaurants to choose from on Skye, especially in Portree, just 9 miles away.
