This award recognizes that we offer quality food and drink and we include and promote Scottish produce within our breakfast menus. We love food at the Poplars Guest House and pride ourselves on serving a tasty and satisfying breakfast. Served in our beautiful house dining room with large picture windows that overlook the garden and towards the hills. The breakfast buffet table awaits your arrival and is filled with delightful things to eat. From the kitchen Jason prepares everything freshly from scratch. Our aim is to use the best local produce and seasonal goods when they become available. We want to ensure you walk away set up for a great day out in Highland Perthshire. Here is an example of the produce you'll see on the breakfast table. TO START: Freshly prepared Fruit Salad, Natural Yoghurt & Homemade “Summer Berries” Compote, Homemade Crunchy Nutty Granola, Selection of Breakfast Cereals and Muesli, Creamy Porridge made from Scottish Milled Oats served with ‘Whisky’ & brown sugar MAIN COURSE: A Hearty Scottish Breakfast of Grilled Back Bacon, Pork Sausage, Scottish Black Pudding, Macsween’s Haggis, Roasted Tomato, Sautéed Mushrooms and Eggs cooked as you like them. Vegetarian choices include Vegetarian Sausage and Grilled Halloumi OR Dunkeld Smoked Salmon served with beautifully cooked Scrambled Eggs OR Continental Platter with Ham, Cheese, Smoked Salmon, Boiled Egg and Home Baked Bread Roll OR Soft cooked Omelette with cheese and diced tomato. TO DRINK: Fruit Juices, Scottish Blended Breakfast Tea, Earl Grey or Herbal/Fruit Teas, Cafetiére of Local Scottish Roasted Coffee Toasted white and brown bread will be brought to your table with Perthshire Honey, Homemade Marmalade & Preserves
