The Nest

The Nest is an annexe attached to an 18th Century Cottage (Blairmount). It is fully self-contained and recently refurbished.

Time away as a couple should be special. It should be rewarding, hassle-free and enjoyable -  this is what the owners had in mind when creating The Nest. The Nest was designed to be a cosy couples retreat, with everything you might need, but without costing the earth. Boutique toiletries, fluffy white towels, slippers and high thread count linens ensure that luxury feel. The sleek shower room with large shower enclosure is equipped with underfloor heating, and a sumptuous slate floor. The remainder of The Nest has real oak floors.

On entering The Nest you are immediately struck by the twin sets of double doors, a period detail from its past life as a shop. Now they allow you to shut the outside world away, pull the cozy woolen curtains, and enjoy some peace and quiet. The living area is equipped with a delightful sprung velvet couch, perfect for cuddles. There is a quirky dining set with upcycled period collapsible dining table. Wi-Fi throughout, flat screen smart TV with satellite and Blu Ray player.

With parking at the front door you can use The Nest as a base for exploring all Scotland has to offer. You can see plenty on foot too. The Ben Y Vrackie path starts a few hundred yards away, and just up the road, the Moulin Inn provides a cozy olde world pub feel with open fires, hearty home cooking, and ales brewed on the premises.
