Mallmore Country House

Mallmore Country House is a 4 star, family run Bed and Breakfast. It exists since the late 1700's and is listed as an Historic Home. Build for James D'Acry in 1789 it is an unique example of middle-class Georgian building. Over the past years, several people, all with fascinating stories, inhabited this house. Today, it's a warm and peaceful place to live in quiet and have to comforts of the twenty-first century. Guests are invited to make themselves at home and relax in the Guest Lounge, where a fire burns merrily each evening. It is a place to meet with the owners and other guests for just a chat or to plan routes, day trips and generally exchange information.

35 acres of Mallmore land is covered in trees. Full of native wildlife  (the Sparrohawk and Heron, foxes or badgers) it's a charming place to walk to the shores of Clifden Bay. The Guesthouse provides luxurious accommodation with individually decorated, spacious rooms, with beautiful views over Clifden Bay and our gardens. Their award winning breakfasts are served in the elegant dining room to give you a perfect start to your day. In the heart of Connemara, one mile outside of Clifden, Mallmore is ideally located for visiting the exceptional beaches, mountains, rivers, lakes and the boglands, all of which are unique to this wonderful area. Quite in the sense of "Be not inhospitable to strangers, lest they be Angels in disguise", they want to make the best out of your stay there, so enjoy your time!
