The hotel’s 40 rooms have been refreshed with a mix of painted built-ins, decorative moldings and antique furnishings. Ecru-colored walls complement classic Italian fabrics that drape the windows, many of them balconied. Beds are uber-comfortable with plush bedding; a pillow menu stands on the nightstand. The bathroom walls and floors are made of Italian Carrara marble; the plumbing and fixtures are modern.
The breakfast room downstairs has fabric-covered walls and vaulted ceilings and offers an exceptionally lavish breakfast buffet. Start with a wide choice of sweet and savory products like fragrant brioches and delicious pastries with cream, honey, chocolate, traditional cakes with cream, pine nuts and ricotta, fruit and jam tarts, and homemade pancakes accompanied by maple and agave syrup.
