THE TOP 5 REASONS TO USE A TRAVEL AGENT

Helvetia & Bristol

The eternal magic of Florence pervades every corner of Helvetia & Bristol, situated in the heart of the city, just a short distance from the main attractions. Since the late 19th century, Hotel Helvetia & Bristol has been offering travelers from around the world luxury, art, and traditional Italian hospitality combined with upscale services and exceptional eating and drinking, ensuring that guests enjoy an unforgettable stay in what is, without doubt, Tuscany’s most resplendent jewel.

Staying at this historic palazzo, you can breathe in the heady atmosphere of the Renaissance – an ambience that was part-and-parcel of the journeys made to Italy by the international élite, and was nowhere more evident than at the get-togethers of the literati in our very own Winter Garden. These high-class surroundings have been the destination of choice for such illustrious Italian names as physicist Enrico Fermi, poet Eugenio Montale and actress Eleonora Duse.

Dining

Inside the enchanting Bristol Winter Garden and covered by a Liberty-style glass ceiling, the restaurant’s mirrored screens offer privacy and reflect the exquisite blue velvet of the seats while the wallpaper depicts the Tuscan fauna in a classic 18th-century chinoiserie motif. Chef Pasquale D’Ambrosio creates harmony between senses and flavors with dishes like Fettuccia from Gragnano “alla Nerano”, clams and calvisius caviar, and the inimitable Organic egg with pecorino cheese cream from Pienza, nipitella and white truffle, a true tribute to the Tuscan land.
