Greywalls Hotel is an elegant Scottish Edwardian Country House, uniquely situated on the edge of Muirfield championship golf course with stunning views over East Lothian and the Firth of Forth. With views over the world famous greens of the 9th & 18th holes of Muirfield, it has earned itself a reputation as 'a golfers' paradise'! Greywalls' stylish Edwardian splendour makes an ideal retreat for individuals, golfers and families alike. Designed by the celebrated Edwardian architect Sir Edwin Lutyens as a 'dignified holiday home', Greywalls was constructed in 1901 and still retains the charm and character for which it is renowned. A haven of peaceful tranquility, Greywalls enjoys a deserved reputation for the excellence of its food and service. As well as the elegant drawing rooms and delightful dining areas, the house has 23 en suite bedrooms. Greywalls' Chez Roux Restaurant was the proud recipient of the coveted 'Scottish Hotel Restaurant of the Year' in 2012. The delightful walled gardens are attributed to Gertrude Jekyll and contain a hard and grass tennis court, croquet lawn and putting green as well as borders filled with herbaceous plants.

Chez Roux Restaurant: Spread across 4 rooms, including a Whisky Room and Sunroom, Chez Roux can offer settings to suit any occasion, season or time-of day. The service matches that of the hotel - welcoming yet refined, attentive yet unobtrusive. Chez Roux's is concisely described by Head Chef Albert Roux thusly: "French classical cuisine with a flair and lightness, using local product as much as possible." Greywalls offers a fine selection of wines to accompany your lunch or dinner and can offer a stock of fine malt whiskies and cognacs to complete an enjoyable meal. Afternoon Tea: Enjoy the tranquil surroundings of Greywalls with a delectable array of Afternoon Tea treats. Select your choice of tea leaves from our very own tea menu and enjoy our Chef's savoury finger sandwiches, freshly made scones and selection of sweet delicatessens. Bar and Lounge: The Lounges are warm and relaxing. They are the ideal choice for a lighter or more informal meal. The Bar Menu is available all day and features a wide range of freshly prepared food, along with tea, coffee and drinks. The Bar at Greywalls provides a warm and friendly atmosphere in which to enjoy a pre or post-restaurant lunch or dinner beverage. As you would expect our bar offers a wide range of drinks to suit all tastes whether it be whiskies, fine wines, cocktails and much more.
