There has been a hotel on the beach at Garryvoe since the early 1900s and while the world has changed beyond recognition, some things have thankfully remained the same – the golden, sandy, five-mile beach; the view of Ballycotton and its lighthouse, and the smiling faces at the Garryvoe Hotel - a family-owned, independent four-star hotel. At the Garryvoe, you'll find a choice of intimate and spacious public rooms, all with direct sea views, and sincere, attentive and friendly service is a given. Garryvoe boasts large, bright, family-sized guestrooms, and a great selection of dining options to suit everyone in your party. You'll enjoy complimentary Wi-Fi internet at Garryvoe, as well as access to the fabulous health club and swimming pool. And of course don't forget about that five-mile long, golden beach . . .

The Lighthouse Bistro:
Fancy a fresh Seafood Chowder, Toasted Special or tucking into Bill Casey's Shanagarry Smoked Salmon on homemade brown soda bread? The Lighthouse is the kind of place where you can while away the afternoon quite happily, have a snack or tuck into that old favorite; delicious fresh Ballycotton Battered Plaice with Tartare Sauce and Chips. It's bright, modern and airy and buzzing at lunchtime. And we have a full children's menu for the under 12s with local battered chicken bites, along with lasagne, pasta, fish and chips, all made fresh in our kitchen.
Chef Kevin O'Sullivan is from Skibbereen in West Cork, but we'll forgive him that since the seafood and local ingredients down there aren't half bad either – and we've even allowed him sneak a few scallops from Castletownbere on to the menu and some Clonakilty Black Pudding! Kevin and his team like the food to do the talking, local seafood, local steaks and meat, local fruit and veg, served simply, in season, in a restaurant that's high on quality and low on fuss and formality – you're here to enjoy yourself and it's our job to ensure you do.
The Cave Bar:
Or you can slip next door to a hidden wonder – The Cave. The local bar untouched by modern 'improvements' with open fire, slate floors and a huge table that's seen better days but the regulars won't let us get rid of it! It's seen generations of craic, gossip and secrets, and now it is your turn to add your contribution!
