THE CULTURAL AND NATURAL WONDERS OF IRELAND & SCOTLAND

Friendly Beaches Lodge

Often referred to as the invisible lodge. Located deep within the Freycinet National Park, Friendly Beaches Lodge blends harmoniously into the 130-hectare private sanctuary, just 100 meters from the beach. You’ll retreat here after a day’s walking to relax, take a hot shower or bath, browse the well-stocked library, enjoy a delicious dinner and sleep in your spacious, private bedroom.

Rooms & Amenities

Nestled amongst fragrant casuarina, tea tree, and banksia, come home to comfortable beds, relaxing hot baths and selected works from some of Tasmania’s finest artists. Sleeping zones branch off from the main lodge, each including a relaxed lounge with cosy, wood-burning stove, a bathroom with a claw foot bath, separate shower room and toilets

Dining

Each night, gather at the candlelit dining table to reflect on the day’s adventures, enjoy conversation and form new friendships in an atmosphere that nourishes the soul and body. An ‘unplugged’, handmade style of cooking at the Lodge focuses on the simplicity of quality Tasmanian produce, with meals inspired by the natural landscape and temperate climate. From free-range, grass-fed beef and lamb, and the finest locally-grown fruits and vegetables to fresh-off-the-boat flathead and oysters, the food here is a tremendous experience in itself. All are served with wines from award-winning local wineries including Freycinet Vineyard, Milton, Gala, and Springvale. A selection of micro-brewed beers and ciders is also on offer.
