The Falls Hotel & Spa is located in the charming town of Ennistymon, nestled in a wooded vale beside the tumbling waters of the River Inagh. The distinctive building known today as the Falls Hotel & Spa in Co. Clare conceals within its walls an eighteenth century mansion, a late medieval castle, and a formidable history of four and a half centuries embracing clans and warfare, landlords and tenants, poets, dreamers and entrepreneurs! The hotel is privately owned and managed by the McCarthy Family, and you will always be guaranteed to receive a warm and friendly welcome on arrival. The hotel facilities include 140 bedrooms, the Dylan Thomas Bar, the Cascades Restaurant, the Thai River Restaurant & the Aqua & Fitness Leisure Club and River Spa. The Falls Hotel is surrounded by 50 acres of grounds and boasts wonderful riverside and woodland walks around the property.

Ennistymon Town: On The Map: Ennistymon is located just two miles from Ireland's Atlantic Coast in County Clare. The town is most easily accessed via the N85 road which connects to the larger town of Ennis to the southeast. Ennistymon is a charming country market town, full of unique, authentic shops & pubs. Interestingly the town's official name is Ennistimon, but in typical Irish fashion, it is far more commonly spelled with a 'y'! Ennistymon is hidden in a recess among the surrounding hills, and lies on the southern edge of the Burren, just two miles inland from the Atlantic. A beautiful river flows through the heart of town, and rushes over an extensive ridge of rocks behind the main street, forming a beautiful feature, known as The Cascades. The 'An Gorta Mór' Memorial was erected a mile outside Ennistymon in 1995. The monument was founded on the 150th anniversary of the Great Famine ('An Gorta Mor') that devastated Ireland's population from 1845 to 1850.

The Dylan Thomas Bar: The bar has been named in honour and memory of the Welsh poet, Dylan Thomas, and his historic link with Ennistymon House, which later became the Falls Hotel. The hotel bar and lobby accommodates a lot of related memorabilia of the early days of Dylan Thomas and his wife Caithlin MacNamara's life as well as that of the MacNamara family. The Dylan Thomas Bar displays the original stonework of the manor house and overlooks the panoramic views of the Cascades on the River Inagh. A full carvery menu is served daily from 12.30 - 2.30pm with an extended carvery available until 4pm on Sundays. A full bar menu is also available daily until 9pm. The hotel's team of chefs pride themselves in providing delicious and varied menus using local produce where possible. Entertainment is provided in the bar every weekend. Cascades Restaurant: The refurbished 180 seater Cascades restaurant, at the river's edge, is open nightly and offers traditional as well as international dishes prepared from local produce with an emphasis on seafood from west Clare's Atlantic coastline. The view from the restaurant is a mirror image from that of the Dylan Thomas Bar, overlooking the river and its cascades. Our professional and friendly staff aim to ensure that your dining experience exceeds your expectations. Thai River Restaurant: Enjoy a taste of the exotic & oriental in an old world setting. The Thai River Restaurant specialises in delicious high-quality cuisine prepared and cooked by the hotel's team of Thai chefs.
