Caledonian Hotel

Originally built around 1882, The Caledonian Hotel is situated in the centre of Oban, overlooking the harbour, amid spectacular Scottish surroundings. During the Second World War, the hotel was used as a base by the Royal Navy, but it has long since been restored, offering all the comfort and luxury you could wish for. Each of the Caledonian's 59 well appointed bedrooms has a nautical theme, in keeping with the hotel’s seafront location, with many providing stunning views overlooking Oban Bay to the mountains of Mull and Ardgour. Dining is available in Restaurant Caledonian and Top Deck Restaurant and Bar, which provides an intimate candlelit dining experience serving fantastic freshly prepared, locally sourced food. For a more relaxed setting the hotel's Caledonian Cafe Bar serves a great selection of light snacks and meals throughout the day, with spectacular views of the bay and islands. Complimentary wi-fi is available throughout the hotel.

Dining

Restaurant Caledonian: Dinner is served in the Restaurant Caledonian in an intimate candlelit setting. Here the menu changes daily in keeping with the seasonal and local produce the chef selects and in order to offer guests plenty of variety. Children may dine from their very own menu or try something a little more grown-up from the adult menu. Caledonian Café Bar: Enjoy a drink or light meal in the hotel's Caledonian Café Bar where a modern spacious interior provides various separate areas in which to unwind over a drink or bite to eat. There are well-spaced tables for diners, fireside couches to relax on and spectacular views of the bay and islands. In the Café Bar our menu provides you with a wide range of traditional and contemporary dishes throughout the day.
