Brindley's Guesthouse is a large Victorian family house, built in 1871 and ideally located in a quiet, tree-lined residential road on the southern side of Bath. The house is just a 5-7 minute lazy stroll on flat roads from the centre of Bath. It's also just 200 metres from the peace and beauty of the Kennet and Avon canal, and a 5 minute walk from the wide variety of local shops and restaurants of Widcombe village. With just 6 bedrooms, you can be assured of a warm welcome and friendly, personal service throughout your stay. Each of the beautiful bedrooms is individually designed with an eclectic mix of antique style French furniture and lighting, and decorated in cool, calming colors. Guests of Brindley's can avail of complimentary on-street parking.

The City of Bath: On The Map: Bath is located in the southwest of England, 115 miles west of London, and just 13 miles east of Bristol. The City of Bath is truly unique. It was founded by the Romans, after their conquest of Britain in AD 43. Between the 1st and 4th centuries, the Romans constructed a temple dedicated to the divinity, Sulis, as well as several hot baths. The natural source of the baths yields over 1,200,000 litres of water daily, at a temperature of more than 46 °C / 115 °F. Today, you can walk in the ancient footsteps of Romans, on the original stone pavements around the steaming pool. After the fall of the Roman city, medieval Bath became a major wool-producing centre, and the city commanded considerable religious influence from 1091 to 1206. During the 18th century, three ambitious local entrepreneurs set out to make Bath one of the most beautiful cities in Europe - they succeeded! The most famous legacy of their work is the Royal Crescent, comprising of 30 houses laid out in a crescent shape. In total Bath boasts approximately 5,000 listed buildings, and on top of its impressive Roman heritage, is also England's most celebrated Georgian city. Such is its unique nature, the entire City of Bath was granted World Heritage status by UNESCO.

Breakfast at Brindley's: Your hosts firmly believe that starting the day with a hearty breakfast is an essential part of your stay at Brindleys. The ingredients used for breakfast are top quality and, wherever possible, locally produced. Free Range eggs come from Paxcroft Farm, Hilperton - just a few miles from Bath. Bacon & sausages are sourced from Bartletts Butchers in Bath - from pigs raised nearby in Wiltshire and Gloucestershire. Breakfast service is relaxed and informal and your hosts hope to provide a perfect start to your day. Breakfast is served in the light & airy breakfast room on the ground floor, with a wide choice of cooked, or continental breakfast options as well as vegetarian options available. Brindley's also offers fresh berries, fruit, cereals and yogurt using locally-sourced foods wherever possible. Breakfast is served from 8.30 to 10.00am daily.
