THE CULTURAL AND NATURAL WONDERS OF NORWAY & ICELAND

Bellingham Castle

Bellingham Castle is an elegant and spacious 17th Century Irish Castle, offering exclusive, luxury accommodation in Ireland’s North East. The castle is located just 11 kilometres from the bustling town of Dundalk, and is less than 1 hour from Dublin and Belfast via the M1 Motorway. Located in the heart of the small, medieval village of Castlebellingham in County Louth, and approached via a private, tree-flanked driveway, Bellingham Castle is the centrepiece of a 17 acre estate. The tone for your stay is set, as you pass through the entrance to Bellingham Castle, via a beautiful stone tower and gate lodge, built by Sir Henry Bellingham in 1880, followed by a long avenue flanked by tall broadleafs. Set on the banks of the River Glyde, the estate includes a weir and man-made river island with footbridges, mature trees and formal lawns and gardens. The formal drawing rooms, cozy library, bars and elegant Bute Suite are ideal for finding a few quiet and relaxing moments, while all guestrooms are rich in history, style and comfort.
