The Restaurant Dinner is only available to residents and is preceded by a formal cocktail hour in the rotunda and library. It is held in the State Dining Room, a crisply luxurious space, with lavish stucco work, twinkling chandeliers and plush portraits overlooking the gardens and their marvellous symmetrical cascade. Downstairs private dining can be arranged in the Porcelain Room lined with the famous ‘Flora Danica’ set of china or in the atmospheric Wine Cellar. The Food Ballyfin’s gardens are an important part of what is produced in the kitchen. Emphasis is placed on sourcing the finest ingredients from the bounty of the garden, along with fresh, delectable produce from top artisan suppliers like Feighery butchers to create only the most impressive dishes. Picnic Guests who are interested may opt to take with them a traditional gourmet picnic hamper to enjoy in any location across the grounds.
