Welcome to Applecroft House, a Bed and Breakfast nestled in lush landscaped gardens, tucked away from the main road. Countryside peace and tranquillity, yet merely a leisurely 15-minute walk into the heart of bustling Killarney town. Applecroft House is a family business, run by Kathy & Don Brosnan and their 3 daughters. The Brosnans enjoy meeting people from all over the country and the world, and strive to create a home away from home for guests. Applecroft's blossoming garden frames the house and a wide variety of plants and flowers are grown, attracting plenty of bird-life. The Brosnans are very proud of their little farm, which is ever expanding. They are especially proud of our happy free-range hens who provide the best eggs for cooking and baking! Killarney Town: On the Map: Killarney is located in County Kerry in the southwest of Ireland. The town is reached via the N22 from Tralee/ Limerick (to the north) and the N22 from Cork City (to the southeast). Killarney lies on the edge of the astoundingly beautiful Killarney National Park, with its three magnificent lakes and the spectacular MacGillycuddy Reeks mountain range. The park is also home to Muckross House and Gardens. Killarney is a wonderful base for all manner of activities including angling and water sports, golf, riding, orienteering, hiking, cycling, and canoeing. The town itself is quite small but full of charm - this you will soon see as you walk down the brick footpaths and pass curious old-style shop fronts. Killarney is well known for its excellent shops, restaurants and cosmopolitan appeal. It is also renowned for its evening entertainment including many singing pubs, cabarets, dancing venues, and banquets. Traditional Irish music can also be heard in many of the local pubs on a nightly basis.

The guest accommodation at Applecroft House consists of 5 spacious bedrooms, each with it’s own theme: ‘Poet’s Corner’, ‘Past Times’, ‘The 19th Green’, ‘The Race-goer’s Club’ and ‘The Kerry Way’. Breakfast is served in Applecroft's bright and airy dining room overlooking the garden. Your hosts provide a tasty continental buffet, and an exciting variety of freshly cooked breakfasts, all made with our own farm fresh eggs. The Guest Sitting Room is the perfect place to relax, read or chat with complimentary tea or coffee, not to mention home baking on arrival!
