Actons Hotel is situated in the heart of the colorful & historic harbour town of Kinsale - often referred to as the Gourmet Capital of Ireland. Actons is the oldest hotel in Kinsale, originally established in 1946 by two sisters, Sidney and Shelia Acton. Ever since, the hotel has been an integral part of Kinsale town. After a substantial renovation in 2012 the hotel re opened in March 2013. This contemporary boutique style hotel now comprises 74 en-suite bedrooms including a bridal and family suites, Sidney’s Bar & Brasserie, the Fisher St Restaurant, Health & Leisure Club with fully equipped gym, 15 meter swimming pool, sauna, steam room and 3 treatment rooms.

From the main N71 road connecting Cork City (to the north) & Skibbereen/ Bantry (to the west), Kinsale is accessible via a variety of country roads. Located just 16 miles from Cork City in a naturally protected harbour, Kinsale is one of the most picturesque, popular and fashionable towns on the southwest coast. Kinsale is a centre for yachting, sea angling, gourmet eating and golf. Restaurants in Kinsale pride themselves on their high reputation for culinary expertise, and the Good Food Circle has been organizing a Gourmet Festival here every autumn for over 25 years. A charming town, its narrow streets are steeped in history and its harbour is always full of boats. Visit the museum housed in the French Prison or, just outside the town, the star-shaped Charles Fort with its spectacular views, before retiring to one of the town's many cozy atmospheric pubs.

You can choose from an array of cold meats, Local Irish Cheeses, yoghurts, breakfast pastries, Muesli and Fruits. From the a la carte breakfast menu, enjoy delicious local Sausages, Black Pudding as well as bacon and local free range eggs. You can also choose to have Eggs Benedict and a range of fluffy omelettes cooked to order. Sidney’s Bar & Brasserie: Sidneys Bar and Brasserie is the ideal setting for a relaxed informal dining experience in comfortable surroundings. The perfect place for a long lunch or a relaxed evening meal. The Garden Patio area is an ideal location to enjoy a morning coffee or drink before dinner. Actons are proud to source local Irish produce for our menu, some of our featured dishes include our Creamy Seafood Chowder, Roast Fillet of Salmon, Traditional Fish Pie or for a sweet temptation try our Chocolate Tart with Walnut Crunch and Vanilla Ice-Cream. Fisher Street Restaurant: Fisher Street is the main dining room at Actons of Kinsale set in a stylish and contemporary setting with views of Kinsale Harbour, Head Chef Garreth Forsey and his team have created a diverse menu with a wide range of freshly prepared dishes.
