As one of Scotland's fastest growing cities is Inverness with 50,000 people the real capital of the Highlands and also one of the oldest settlements where all roads lead to. Even though it is a lively place, it is still very lovely and a beautiful place to be. You can join a ghost tour led by an 18th century ghost and listen to tales from the past of the city, full with blood, murders, more ghosts, witches and spell. Cruise on the Moray Firth and look out for bottlenose dolphins. Or hike along the River Ness and watch salmon fishermen during the summer. Take your time to go to the main shopping area where you can see pipers and others musicians.
